What would I do without these!? Dec 30, 2010
By KMF200 As first time parents, we were not aware of the wonders of "the pacifier". After getting the soothie brand at the hospital, we decided to stick with those. Unfortunately though, the pacifier would constantly fall out of our baby's mouth, and as a new parent, there are a lot of things that one needs to do without sitting there replacing the pacifier every two minutes. Here is where the Wubbanub comes in...Since the doll holds the pacifier and it rests on the baby's chest, there is no more need to keep on putting the pacifier in the baby's mouth. The only con is that the pacifier cannot be removed from the doll, so it makes it difficult to get it as clean as I would like, but besides that, we love it and bought a few different kinds!
Update: We bought the princess and the doggy wubbanub. By far, we like the princess one more. Our daughter LOVES to now hold onto the silky part of the princess's dress. Also, it stays on her chest much better than the doggy one. The doggy one tends to slide off and then the pacifier falls out of her mouth. Just an FYI!

Harder than others Jan 05, 2011
By Tara S We have 3 Wubbanubs for our daughter. This one, while cute, seems to be harder for her to keep in her mouth or put back in when it falls out, probably since the Soothie is attached to her hand rather than her head. We have a Duck Wubbanub and the Soothie is attached to the beak and this, along with her caterpillar which has the soothie off the head, seems to make a difference.
****UPDATE 3/9/11 - Now that my daughter is 5 months, she seems to prefer her dolly wubbanub over the others now. She seems to like the differences in the fabrics and the different surfaces she can chew on. I would recommend this for an older 4-6 month old baby as opposed to a younger baby.

Wonderful and SO CUTE! Feb 15, 2010
By Jolie This is the cutest thing to keep with my twin girls' carseats and stroller! The paci is just like the infant Soothie paci from the hospital and the nipple for the Soothie bottles. My girls love their caterpillar and baby doll (the princess one). This one has great textures and lots of colors!

Almost perfect! Mar 08, 2011
By Cyndirella6 I received the princess and the doggie as a shower gift. When I initially saw them I thought it seemed like a great concept but it wasn't the type of pacifier I had used for my older daughter so I packed it up with the other "maybe's" I had gotten from the baby shower. We came with our new baby girl from the hospital realizing that we only left there with ONE of the paci's that the hospital had used and as most know one paci just isn't goig to do it so I grabbed one of the paci's that I had intended on using for my daughter. The ones I had actually registered for and to my dismay she would not even CONSIDER it (I had probably 10 of the ones I thought I would use). So I started digging around in the "maybe box" and I soon learned that these are the same kind of paci that the hospital used so I broke these out and tried them. My daughter didn't like them very much as a newborn because they're pretty big and it was easy for her to accidentally pull out the paci and they were bulky sitting on this tiny baby (tiny meaning almost 7.5lbs). Again, put them back on the "maybe" shelf and bought the plain pacifiers from the store. When my daughter was around 2 1/2 months we tried these once again and YAY!! They're wonderful! She's learned how to hold onto it, play with it and chew on it. This little paci/toy entertains her for HOURS! We LOVE IT! So my advice to anyone who might try these and their babies not like them at first... give them another try once the baby gets a bit older. I don't think these are the best for newborns but work great once your baby starts better developing their motor skills. Here is my final assessment:
PROS 1. Baby can hold it themselves and put the paci back in their mouth. 2. Once baby is past the initial "newborn" stage the size is perfect for little hands to hold 3. Makes for a great little teething toy and "security blanket" 4. Its easy to find in the dark or when baby spits the paci out. It usually just lands on her chest or lap.
CONS 1. My daughter is always cross-eyed looking at it because a lot of the time she's sucking the paci while playing with the toy. 2. The paci doesn't come loose from the toy and sometimes when I hold my daughter the toy gets in the way and the paci comes out. Hard to have her head laying on my shoulder with the paci 3. It's not the easiest to clean. Once again, if the paci could be taken off the toy this would clear that up issue.
All in all... I would defiitely buy these for friends and family having babies.

favorite! Oct 22, 2010

"mom"
bought these for my daughter because they were not only adorable but they are GREAT at night because they usually stayed on her chest when the paci fell out. Even if it fell to the side of her, they are so easy to find in the middle of the night when you're half asleep!!! also thought they would be great for her to hold onto when she gets a little older
