Shipping Weight? Jun 24, 2009

I really like this item. It looks nice and the bottom is flat and level so it can stand without having to lean on something (as pictured). I was worried about ordering something that looks breakable, but there was a lot of packing material and the item wasn't even scratched.
The shipping weight is 2 lb. though, not 8 like it says. That's good, because it means shipping costs less than it would if the weight was really 8 lb.
Edit: Awhile ago I was in a dollar store in my neighborhood and found the perfect complement for this item: a little battery powered stand with color changing LED lights meant for displaying etched glass pieces like this. Something similar but corded is available on amazon [for more than a dollar]. Search 'etched glass display with led lights' in all departments and it should come up. I'm uploading a picture.

I ordered this for my sister's Christmas however given the price of shipping I could only afford standard. Either way though, she was incredibly excited, and it actually looks like ice! great detail, great price.
